Soundtrack to our stay in Bristol: Ernest Ranglin ~ Below the Bassline

We went to Bristol for a couple of nights to hang out with Brian, Emma, and their two sprogs, Molly and Thomas. We had never met the lil' uns before and Molly's almost three... it'd been that long since we saw the Dawsons!

Anyway, we all picked up where we left off and it was good times for sure.

Bristol highlights included an evening with Brian's parents, Brian and Annette, who hosted an amazing curry at their house. They have a cool sun room and a wonderful garden!

During the day we took an open-top bus tour of the city--Bristol's a great place, go there immediately. We also made a return trip to the camera obscura at the observatory near the Clifton Suspension Bridge--camera obscuras are pretty amazing and I totally want one!

The best part, though, was just hanging out and catching up with old friends and meeting Molly and Thomas. So cute... so sweet...
