Barcelona is a beautiful
city with a lot to offer. From the tree-lined promenade of Las Ramblas, to
the mind-boggling architecture of Antoni Gaudi, our entire 2-1/2 weeks in
Spain could have been spent taking in the sights of this city alone!
Gaudi's creations are completely unreal and definitely made for one of our highlights. The stunning color of all the tile mosaic work around Parc Guell is truly inspiring; the modernista-styling of Casa Mia is one-of-a-kind; and La Sagrada Familia--the cathedral Gaudi was building when he died--is the centerpiece of his brilliance. Another highlight of our trip was seeing Barcelona play Olympic Lyonnais in UEFA Champions League action at Camp Nou. 2-0 for the home side!
